Digi Haven: Butterflies

Welcome to another fortnightly challenge over at Digi Haven!  This time we want you to get out all your digis that are BUTTERFLIES.  That's right--butterfly time!  We're sponsored by Floppy Latte and the winner will receive a gift voucher to their store!  I didn't go the card route this time, I made a set of 3 ATCs!  Different for me, but I like the way they turned out!

An artsy Thank You

I just wanted to publicly thank the DTs at Technique Time Tuesday and Inkspirational for the fun birthday blog hops they put on for my birthday last week!  I made this card that night, but I haven't had the chance to post it until now!

It's a one layer card using some paint and stamps by Hero Arts, Close to My Heart, and an alphabet set from I can't remember where.  Liquid pearls by Ranger and all other supplies by Stampin' Up!.

Thanks again, ladies!  It was so nice to not only see the fabulous cards you made, but also receive some of them in the mail!  Nobody has ever done anything that nice for me before and I will always remember it!  HUGS and happy stamping! :)

So, what's this week's challenge?  Well, since it's the third week, we've got a fabulous sketch inkspiration for you to play around with.  It's CAS by nature, but you could totally play it up and make it anything you want to!

Details~

I used an image by Prima, large rhinestones by Studio 112, and the paper, ink, and punches are by Stampin' Up!.  I decided to forget the sentiment and just focus on the "image" part of the sketch.  I think this is so fun and am thinking about using it for a birthday card with "Queen for the Day" on the inside! :)  I'd like to enter it in this week's CAS-ology Challenge: Royal.

With deep sadness...

Today has been a very emotional day for me.  For starters, it's my last Monday ever at my current job.  I only have 2 1/2 more days to go.  I work at an elementary school with students who have special needs.  I am going back to school to finish my degree to be a SpEd teacher and so I know it will be worth it, but I will really miss those kids.

And then I come home to see the news about Oklahoma.  That could've been the school I work at.  Seriously. Hit. Home. Hard.  I cried.  I prayed.  I still felt so sad.  So then I thought today would be a good day to share a card just because.  It's one that I sent to a dear friend after a great loss recently.

I've used silhouette stamps by Close to My Heart and all other supplies are by Stampin' Up!.  I'm not entering this into any challenges, I just needed to share.  I hope that you all are having a good day and that maybe you'll take time to tell your loved ones how much you care.  You never know what could happen to you.

Hi, friends!  It's another new week and that means another challenge at Make My Monday!  This week we want to see your amazing projects featuring the colors YELLOW AND GREEN! :)

I've used stamps by Close to My Heart, and all other supplies are by Stampin' Up!.  I kept it CAS because I really wanted to focus on the simplicity of the image and the zen-ness of the sentiment. ;)  A one layer card seemed appropriate.
