Paper Sweeties September Inspiration Challenge #25 - 'Holiday Joy'

Hello, all!  It's time for another monthly challenge at Paper Sweeties and our theme this month is HOLIDAY JOY! Take a peek at our fun inspiration...

I made a fun holiday card using products from the Paper Sweeties store and inspired by the colors and plaid from the photo above...I was also inspired by the bell!  Take a peek...

I started by creating a card base by taking some red and green plaid paper and adding it to a textured red mat.  I then added a doily, some ribbon, twine, and a sentiment from the Homespun Holidays stamp set to the top.

I then stamped the hanging ribbon image from the Homespun Holidays set to the patterned paper using black ink.  This was super easy because Paper Sweeties stamps are made from quality acrylic--you can see straight through them!  I then added three pearls to the tops of the ribbon.  I stamped and embossed three bell images from the Homespun Holidays set, colored them with some glitter gel pens, and then pop them up on the card base for a bit more dimension.

I love the final product!  This is such a cute card--thanks to the Homespun Holiday stamps--and is super easy to recreate and mail!  Take one last gander before you go...

That's all for me, friends!  I hope you come and join the fun at the Paper Sweeties blog, and don't forget to check out what the rest of the design team--including our guest for this month--has created!

Here's the DT list~

I'll be back later this month with creations from our November release!

HUGS and happy stamping, all!

Great Impressions: BOO! Banner

Hi, everyone!  It's NO CARD/TAG week this week at the Great Impressions blog this week and our theme is HALLOWEEN DECORATIONS.  Today I have a fun Halloween banner that uses some Halloween stamps from the Great Impressions online store!  Take a peek...

Here's my banner~

Details~

Great Impressions products used:

This is the same little ghost that I used on my card a few weeks ago, but here I removed the sentiment from him.  I heat embossed the BOO! and the ghost images in sparkly black (hard to see in these photos) and then filled in these little ghosts with glossy accents.  I'm not sure where this little banner will go, but I LOVE the way it turned out!

Thanks so much for stopping by to take a peek at my creation!  Hop over to the Great Impressions blog for more inspiration and come play along with our monthly challenge, too!  If you use stamps from Great Impressions, you'll be able to link up your creation in our Customer Gallery, too!  HUGS and happy stamping to you all!

Inspired By Stamping: More Uses For Build a Stocking

Hi, friends!  I'm back today with another card using beautiful new stamps from the Inspired By Stamping store!  Today I'm sharing a card that uses a stamp from the new Build a Stocking set...but that doesn't use the stocking image.  Come and see...

Isn't that cute?!  I wanted to show you that the images in this set are totally versatile!  I started this card by stamping the tree image from the Build a Stocking stamp set, punching it out, inking the edges, and then adding it to a scalloped circle mat.  I then added some liquid pearls to add a bit more polish.

I then added this to a panel made up of an embossed white piece of cardstock, a red mat, and some green glitter paper.  I added some ribbon from the Christmas Ribbon Collection.

I added a big button and some twine up top and decided to keep the tails of the twine bow L O N G.  I think it adds a bit of fun and whimsy!

The finished project is a fun card with some traditional colors...and a bit of a twist with turquoise!  I think it's great--and this card would be an easy one to recreate!  Go grab the supplies from the Inspired By Stamping store today!

That's all for me today!  I hope you take a chance to go and grab our newest release from the store and, if you spend $50, you will get a free stamp set!  Also, come and join in the fun of our current challenge, too!  If you use products from the Inspired By Stamping store, link them up in the Customer Gallery as well!  HUGS and happy stamping to you all!

Daydream Designs: Cardinal + Wednesday Wisdom

Before I start my post, I'd like to say a heartfelt THANK YOU to Diane and the other gals on the Daydream Designs DT.  This will be my last post for this team.  Sadly, I am stepping down to take some time out to focus on schoolwork, etc.  These gals are some of the most amazing people I have met and I will truly miss working with them on a regular basis.

Hi, friends!  It's Wednesday, the day I share a card made with digital elements from the Daydream Designs store and today I have a not so traditional autumn card for you.  You might be wondering why I chose the cardinal on my card since it's more of a winter bird...well, the only reason is because I think he's pretty! :)  Take a peek!

See?!  He's beautiful!  you can find him in the Deck the Halls color set.  The only things I did to accent this wonderful pre-colored digi were to highlight his eye with some clear glitter gel pen and add some Stickles to the branches.  I fussy cut around the image to create a fun and different design.  I think it looks great!

The sentiment is from the Autumn Blessings set.  The font on these sentiments is just so fun and perfect!  All I needed to do to accent it was add a few red rhinestones!

This fussy cut panel was then added to a patterned paper card base.  I did some faux stitching around the edges and made it look like it "disappeared" behind the image panel.  Really, I was lazy and only added this after the image panel had been added to save time. ;)

I just love the autumn time.  It truly is a happy time for me.  We have one of our church's semi-annual general conferences in October, my hubby's birthday and other family members' birthdays fall in this season, and my 10 year anniversary is also this fall!  The autumn really is such a happy time and I give thanks to God for all He has given me!

That's all for me today, friends!  I hope you go and grab these fabulous digi elements and take some time to browse the rest of the store!  HUGS, grateful blessings, and happy {digi} stamping to you!

Doodle Pantry: Candy Cane Poem

Before I start my post, I would like to say a giant THANK YOU to Laurie and the other gals on the Doodle Pantry DT.  This will be my last post for this fabulous company and I have enjoyed every minute of my time with these wonderful women! :)

It's getting close to Christmas.  I make my cards year round, but I know that isn't how some crafters like to do things, so I'm going to share some quick and easy cards over the next few weeks using some beautiful pre-colored digis from the Doodle Pantry store!  Come and see this week's creation...

This card uses a beautiful digital image, sentiment, and poem (on the inside) from the Candy Cane Poem set.  The front of the card shows the image and title...

...and then the inside showcases the actual poem from the Candy Cane Poem set.  It is beautiful.  This card is all ready to go--it just needs a salutation and closing!  And making more than one at a time would be a breeze!  Just get an assembly line going! :)

Thanks for stopping by today to take a peek at my card!  I hope you come and join in our current monthly challenge over on the Doodle Pantry blog and that you grab some of the newest items for sale in the store!  HUGS and happy {digi} stamping!

Inspired By Stamping: Surprise!

Surprise!  I'm here today, along with other gals on the Inspired By Stamping design team, to wish the Inspired By Stamping store's owner, Joanna, a happy 3rd anniversary for the store and an early happy birthday!  You should have arrived her from Marzena'sblog.  If not, and you'd like to join in the fun, please start at Joanna's blog and hop along with us to wish her many happy returns!  We've all made birthday creations to share using Inspired By Stamping products.  Come and take a peek at mine!

I started this card by using some paper from the Vintage Floral paper pad to create a main panel. I adhered it to some kraft cardstock, added half a doily and some faux stitching.  I then added a few stamped tickets from the Vintage Tickets set to the top left corner.

I then stamped a frame from the Flowers Bloom set and cut it out with our Fancy Label Dies 1.  I added a sentiment from the Vintage Dress Form set and highlighted the words with a clear glitter gel pen.

Next, I created a dress form using stamps from the Vintage Dress Form stamp set.  I added it to the panel and then added a brown bow highlighted with a brad from the Vintage Floral kit.  I also added a Shabby Pink flower and a Light Yellow flower.

I then added a stamped swirl from the Vintage Dress Form set to the top and accented it with some pearls and a Light Yellow Flower to the side.  This swirl has little breaks in it that make it perfect for embellishing!

I added some more Shabby Pink and Light Yellow flowers sprinkled around the card to tie everything all together.  These flowers are so fabulous and come in many colors, too!  Pearl accents were also added to create groups of three embellishments.

I think the end result is perfect for Joanna--I tried to copy her fabulous style when making this card and I hope she likes it!  What do you think about it?  Leave me a comment below and let me know!

Thank you for stopping by today and for hopping with all of us from Inspired By Stamping!  Your next stop is Nicole's blog.

Happy birthday, Joanna!  Congratulations on three years of a fabulous company!  I am so grateful to be a part of your team! :)  HUGS and happy stamping to you all!
