MHKDesigns: Pretty Petunias + 2017 Happenings!

Hello, friends, and happy last day of December!  As we leave 2016 behind, I just wanted to say a HUGE THANK YOU to all of you for supporting us at MHKDesigns!  We've had an amazing year, and it's due in part to all of YOU!  I'm going to switch some things up for 2017, and thought I'd give you a SNEAK PEEK at what those changes will be!  Hop over to the blog to find out what we have in store for you! ;)

Now that we have that all out of the way, let's get down to business!  I know here up north we are already into winter and just celebrated the Christmas season, but I decided to mix it up a bit and share a card using a fabulous floral image from the MHKDesigns Etsy Shop!  My card today features an image from the *NEWLY RELEASED* Pretty Petunias digital stamp set

Here's my card to share today~

To create this fabulous bloom, I printed out the image from the Pretty Petunias set multiple times, colored each the exact same way with Spectrum Noir markers, then cut out portions of the flower and popped them up with dimensional foam on top of each other.  Some glitter was added for more sparkle and shine.

I decided to use paper from the Twinkle Twinkle Little Stripes digital paper pack on the outside AND inside--where I also added a sentiment from the Pretty Petunias set!  Isn't decorating the inside of cards fun?!  I don't do it nearly as much as I should...

Some black matting, bright ribbon, an a sunshine yellow doily half helped me keep this card funky and bright!  I am seriously loving the way this turned out, and I hope you enjoy it, too!  I cannot wait to hear your thoughts in the comments below! :)

Thanks so much for stopping by today, friends!  I hope you have a wonderful New Year's Eve tonight, and an amaing 2017!  I can't wait to share what I've go in store for the Etsy shop in 2017, and I know you will love it!  Until later, HUGS and happy stamping, friends! :)

Paper Sweeties 25 Days of Christmas 2016

Hello, my friends!  So excited to be back today to share some creation I've made for the Paper Sweeties 25 Days of Christmas blog hop!  Thank you to Debbie for inviting me to join in the fun! :)

I had so much fun creating with these darling products, that I decided to create a gift set.  The set includes a card, gift box, and gift bag that all match.  I went gingerbread and plaid--two of my faves for the holidays!  Take a peek...

Aren't those gingerbread men the CUTEST?!  I LOVE them so much!  I used the Sugar & Spice Sweet Cuts dies to create these guys.  I added some Peppermint sequins and black rhinestones, along with all the fun glittery paper, to deck these dudes out.  SO cute!

This same little guy showed up on the card I made...

...the matching gift box...

...and the gift bag!

A sentiment from the Homemade With Love stamp set also made it's appearance on both the card and the tag on the gift box.  I added some color to the sentiment with Sakura glitter gel pens.

The finishing touch was some Rusty Jingle Bells tied onto the card and gift box with twine, along with some super seasonally appropriate plaid paper! ;)  I totally adore how these creations turned out, and I hope you do, too!  I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!

Thanks so much for stopping by, all!  I am so grateful for each of you, and I hope that you all have a warm and wonderful holiday season!  Head over to Paper Sweeties to grab these goodies, and don't forget to follow along with the hop all the way through the 25th!  Until next time, HUGS and MERRY stamping, friends!

MHKDesigns: Introducing The Write Stuff!

Hello, friends!  It is time for another release for the MHKDesigns Etsy Shop, and I have some super fun sets and papers coming your way!  This month, we're releasing sets that can be used year round--including a masculine set--and I hope you grab them for your stash!  Today we are featuring the *NEW*...

This set is absolutely PERFECT for the man in your life!  I think this will be the set I use to make my hubby's Valentine next year. ;)  For today, though, I went monochromatic.  Check it out...

For the focal panel, all I needed to do was print the writing hand image from the *NEW* The Write Stuff set onto cardstock and stencil around it with a couple different inks.  I like the way the brown makes the black image POP!

The sentiment, also from The Write Stuff, was printed, punched out as a circle, sponged, and matted before adding it to the card.  Some glitter adds some texture and shine.

A couple of buttons, a brad, more glitter, and paper from the World Traveler digital paper pack finished off this manly creation.  I really love the way this masculine card turned out, and I hope you do, as well!  I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments below! :)

And now, let's talk about how to get this new set OR the entire release for FREE!  Here's what you'll need to do...
